Following an opening address by the President of Austria and the Governor of the Austrian National Bank, to an expert meeting of the Club of Rome, the President of GLOBE International, said: '...we are only tinkering with business as usual and need to make the deep structural changes required to set the world upon a path to address the interlinked challenges of climate change, energy secuirty and ecosystems decline on land and sea.' The meeting was organised by the Club of Rome to prepare a keynote session at the GLOBE Rome G8+5 Legislators Forum to be held in June in the Italian Chamber of Deputies.
